The Book of Sky
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A HOME
Can You help us, please?
Maybe, you've learned about Sky and her puppies already in my BLOG. Here,
I would like to tell you more about my little Paw Patrol, so you get to know them better if you fell in love with them… like me. Is it reasonable? No. Does it make sense? Not at first glance.
But at second. I promise: Each of them is so much worth your attention! Sky, the mom, who was born approximately two years ago somewhere in the desert: Everything about her, you can read in her eyes, her body language. Her gentle behavior tells more about her soul than a million words ever could.
Her gentleness and calmness, even with her newborn pups around, made her the beloved superstar of the vet clinic, where she found shelter for litter box time. Somehow her instincts tell her that this might be the only chance she and her babies will get. For her, it is definitely true, because tic bites are seriously threatening her life. She came in just in time to the clinic, to get the right treatment. She silently settles to find out what is expected of her, even when she needs to get poked with needles. Her sweetness and gratitude is incomprehensible, given the circumstances she grew up with: always hungry, always thirsty, always in danger to be beaten up with a stick, to be kicked in her stomach.
On May 3rd, hidden under the leafs of a bush in front of our bakery, she gave birth to 4 puppies, two females and two males. She put them at my feet as soon as she saw me coming. "Do something", her eyes begged. "If you don't help me, they will die within a week."
On my way through the desert to our bakery, I have seen a 100 times and more, how dangerous these roads are for street dogs and their pups. The speed of the cars, the merciless temperatures. Sometimes, I have nightmares about what I see every day.
I can't save them all, I know. But I can hopefully save these 5. And I am begging you for your help to find a new, safe, loving home for Sky and her babies!
